John Locke

John has over 30 years’ experience working for several railroads, including the Kansas City Southern Railroad, the D&E/TO&E Railroad, and The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. During his railroad career, John worked in many positions, including switchman/brakeman and locomotive engineer.

John a is past Local Chairman of UTU-E Local 770 (25 years), past Vice General Chairman on KCS Lines GO-460 (9 years) and past Local Secretary/Treasurer (5 years). He was also the Alternate Delegate to National Convention in 1987 and 1991, Delegate to National Convention in 1995, 1999 and 2003 and was UTUIA Volunteer of the Year 2002. John has been married for 31 years and has two children. He has one grandson and another grandchild on the way.
